Sliding Fee Scale
Neighbors in Action has implemented an annual membership fee to help us offset the cost of services for which we are unable to charge. A nominal $40 membership fee enable us to keep our costs to members as low as possible.
Annual Fee – The annual fee entitles all members to:
- receive a regular friendly visitor
- receive a daily phone reassurance call if eligible
- participate in our Seasonal Gatherings
- receive our quarterly newsletter
- participate in educational and social programming
- receive the excellent service coordination that NIA members enjoy
Outdoor Chore Service – Includes lawn mowing, snow shoveling, raking, spring and fall yard clean-up
and other odd jobs.
Transportation – Includes rides for medical appointments as well as for groceries and other errands in
the La Crescent or La Crosse vicinity.
Light Housekeeping – Includes light vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes or laundry, and/or
general light clean-up.
Heavy Cleaning – Includes window washing, washing walls, scrubbing floors, organizing,
and/or other heavy tasks.
Respite – A volunteer is available to provide relief for a caregiver so they can be assured the senior is safe while the caregiver is away. The senior must be able to use the restroom independently and
administer all medications. The volunteer may serve/prepare a meal if necessary.
Monthly Packages – If you receive multiple services each month, we can arrange special package pricing and save you money. This allow people to pay the same fee every month and makes budgeting easier. Contact Neighbors in Action for more information.
